Seven Malaysian States Brace for Evening Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain

Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds expected to strike seven states, with the weather alert in effect until 8 pm today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, MetMalaysia’s statement, released at 4.05 pm, highlights that the severe weather conditions are anticipated to impact regions including Terengganu (Hulu Terengganu, Dungun, and Kemaman); Pahang (Kuantan); Selangor (Hulu Langat); Negeri Sembilan (Jelebu and Jempol); along with the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur.

The advisory further extends to several sections of Sarawak, specifically Kuching (Bau and Kuching), Serian, Samarahan (Samarahan and Simunjan), Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah (Tanjung Manis, Daro, Matu, and Dalat), Kapit (Kapit), and Bintulu.

Moreover, areas in Sabah, particularly Tawau (Tawau, Kunak, and Semporna), are also under the weather warning.
