Seven Areas in Malaysia Record Unhealthy Air Quality Levels

Kuala Lampur:Seven areas across the country reported unhealthy Air Pollutant Index (API) levels as of 10 a.m. today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Johor was particularly affected, with Larkin and Pasir Gudang both recording an API of 154, and Batu Pahat at 153. Other areas with unhealthy air quality included Johan Setia in Selangor (153), Cheras in Kuala Lumpur (152), Putrajaya (152), and Nilai in Negeri Sembilan (124).

In contrast, air quality was moderate in 60 other locations, with Langkawi, Kedah, being the only area to report good air quality. API readings between 0 and 50 are considered good, 51 to 100 moderate, 101 to 200 unhealthy, 201 to 300 very unhealthy, and above 300 hazardous.
