Serdang: The Serdang Rest and Service Area (R and R) (Southbound) located at KM308.20 on the North-South Expressway will undergo a phased temporary closure to heavy vehicles for 25 days, effective immediately, to accommodate concrete resurfacing maintenance.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) announced that the access route for heavy vehicles into the R and R area will be closed progressively from 8 am today until midnight on July 31, 2025. This closure is part of efforts to upgrade the facilities for highway users.

PLUS has advised heavy vehicle drivers to utilize nearby parking facilities as alternatives during the maintenance period. Meanwhile, the facilities and parking spaces for Class 1 vehicles at the R and R will remain operational.

Motorists are encouraged to plan their journeys by using the PLUS App for the latest traffic information. PLUS also urges drivers to adhere to all traffic signs and instructions provided by PLUS personnel when navigating the affected area.

Traffic updates are available through the PUTRI Virtual Assistant, X@plustrafik App, electronic signboards at selected locations, or by contacting the PLUSLine at 1800-88-0000 for emergencies.
