Selangor Surpasses 2025 Revenue Target, Achieves RM2.49 Billion


Shah alam: Selangor has collected revenue totalling RM2.49 billion as of November 13, 2025, which is equivalent to 106.17 percent of its full-year 2025 target of RM2.35 billion, as announced by Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari. The state government is optimistic about further increasing this figure to exceed RM2.7 billion by the year’s end.



According to BERNAMA News Agency, Amirudin expressed satisfaction with this financial milestone despite facing challenging economic and geopolitical conditions. He shared these insights while presenting the Selangor Budget 2026 in the State Legislative Assembly.



Furthermore, Amirudin disclosed that the Selangor Consolidated Fund amounted to RM4.83 billion as of November 12, 2025. He noted a consistent increase in the state’s reserves since 2018, with an overall rise of RM2.7 billion. The Menteri Besar attributed the state’s financial success to prudent expenditure practices, which have resulted in a budget surplus of RM402.05 million up to November 12, 2025.
