Selangor Assembly Sitting Adjourns Sine Die

Selangor: The Selangor State Legislative Assembly sitting, which lasted four days, was adjourned sine die. Selangor State Assembly Speaker Lau Weng San expressed his appreciation to all parties involved in ensuring the smooth conduct of the sitting.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Lau Weng San conveyed his gratitude, stating, “I would like to thank all state assemblymen, department heads, government officials, and all parties for their cooperation in ensuring the smooth running of the Second Meeting of the Third Session,” before officially adjourning the assembly sitting.

Meanwhile, Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari highlighted that during the session, a total of 12 motions were approved and implemented, including a significant briefing on the gas pipeline explosion incident in Putra Heights, Subang Jaya. “I hope the matters presented during this session will be followed up by the state government administration, including several commitments made in the decisions reached,” he remarked.

Amirudin also took the opportunity to extend birthday wishes to former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad on behalf of all Selangor assemblymen, as he celebrates his 100th birthday. “May he be blessed with good health and well-being. Despite any differences, his contributions and service to the country deserve our respect,” he said.

The state assembly sitting was then adjourned sine die.
