Selangor Announces State-Level National Day Celebration Plans

Shah alam: The Selangor-level 68th National Day celebration is set to take place on August 30, as announced by Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari. The parade will be organized in a manner similar to past years.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Amirudin highlighted a notable change for this year’s event, which includes a special address scheduled for Friday, August 29. During this address, he intends to communicate with department heads and community representatives, detailing Selangor’s strategic direction up to the year 2026. The address will also showcase several government initiatives, such as the First Selangor Plan (RS-1) and the Selangor Smart State initiatives.

Amirudin shared these updates while speaking to reporters after the launch of the state-level Fly the Jalur Gemilang campaign, which was held in conjunction with the 2025 National Day celebration at Dewan Jubli Perak. At the event, representatives from Selangor’s nine districts and land offices, along with 12 local authorities, received the Jalur Gemilang.

The ceremony was attended by prominent figures including Selangor State Secretary Datuk Dr Ahmad Fadzli Ahmad Tajuddin and state executive councillors. Additionally, Amirudin inaugurated the Selangor State Governance and Service Delivery Reform Framework (RSTU) and the Selangor Civil Servants Assembly. The assembly was conducted both physically and online, attracting participation from over 1,000 state civil servants.
