BETONG: Communities that receive funds from the MADANI Community Prosperity Programme (SejaTi MADANI) need to ensure that their socio-economic improvement programmes are properly implemented. Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof emphasized the importance of this initiative to guarantee that economic enhancement can be effectively transferred to the respective community areas as a result of the fund allocation.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Deputy Prime Minister highlighted that with the availability of this fund, the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) would not frequently need to request allocations from their representatives. Instead, they could use the income generated through the fund to develop their local economy. He made these remarks during the SejaTi MADANI Mock Check Presentation Ceremony at the Kabong District level, which involved RM8,397,110 supporting 88 different programmes.

Among the initiatives covered by these programmes are cattle farming, agricultural equ
ipment rental services, and event management equipment rental services. Fadillah noted that Kabong district had the highest number of approved applications for the funds. He pointed out that this indicated the community’s understanding of the programme’s significance, which was envisioned by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. Fadillah expressed hope that the programmes made possible by the fund would transform the Kabong district in the future.
