SEDA Malaysia Spreads Aidilfitri Joy to Orphans and Asnaf with ‘Shopping Raya’ Initiative

Kuala lumpur: The Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) Malaysia, in a joint effort with Jakel Group, brought festive joy to 25 orphans and asnaf from the Pertubuhan Kebajikan dan Perlindungan Nur Qaseh Malaysia through a heartwarming 'Shopping Raya' programme, enhancing their preparations for the Aidilfitri celebration.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, SEDA Malaysia announced in a statement that the Tautan Kasih 2026 programme, held at Jakel Mall, is part of their ongoing corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. This annual event allowed the children to select their festive attire, enriching their Aidilfitri celebrations.

SEDA Malaysia's chief executive officer, Datuk Hamzah Hussin, emphasized that the programme aims to spread joy and cultivate a sense of unity during Aidilfitri. "This initiative by SEDA Malaysia is designed to reach out to the children of the Pertubuhan Kebajikan dan Perlindungan Nur Qaseh Malaysia, enabling them to experience the vibrancy of Ramadan, while also nurturing the practice of charity during this blessed month," he stated.

Datuk Hamzah further expressed the organization's honor in directly engaging with the community and supporting those in need through the 'Shopping Raya' programme. Beyond clothing, SEDA Malaysia also distributed goodies and 'duit raya' to alleviate the financial burden on the recipients and bring them happiness as they prepare for the upcoming Aidilfitri.

The contributions were presented to the children by Jakel Group managing director, Datuk Seri Mohamed Faroz Mohamed Jakel. The event was also attended by SEDA Malaysia chief operating officer Koh Keng Sen, Jakel Group managing director Datuk Mohamed Nizam Mohamed Jakel, and several division heads from SEDA Malaysia.
