SEDA Committed To Strengthening Renewable Energy Development And Sustainability Agenda

Kuala Lumpur: The Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) Malaysia is committed to further strengthening strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to drive the country’s renewable energy growth and advance its energy sustainability agenda.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, SEDA stated that its Aidilfitri 2025 Open House, held today and attended by Deputy Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation, Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir, served as a platform for strategic engagement and cross-sector collaboration. ‘In an era of accelerating energy transition, this gathering serves not only as a festive celebration but also as a space for meaningful interaction and collaboration across sectors, aimed at reinforcing the country’s sustainable energy goals,’ SEDA mentioned in a statement.

SEDA also expressed its appreciation to all partners and stakeholders who have supported the implementation of its initiatives and policies, helping to mainstream sustainable energy as a driver of economic growth and societal well-being. The event highlighted SEDA’s ongoing commitment to fortify alliances that are crucial for the country’s transition to sustainable energy sources.

Also present at today’s Aidilfitri gathering were the secretary-general of the Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA), Datuk Mad Zaidi Mohd Karli, SEDA chairman Ahmad Zairin Ismail, and its chief executive officer Datuk Hamzah Hussin. The annual festive celebration drew over 800 guests, including representatives from the Energy Commission (ST), National Water Services Commission (SPAN), Pengurusan Aset Air Berhad (PAAB), Indah Water Konsortium (IWK), and the National Water Research Institute of Malaysia (NAHRIM).
