Klang: The search for the remaining missing angler at One Fathom Bank near Pulau Ketam here, is focusing on a 105-square-nautical-mile area, particularly the waters off Hutan Melintang along the Selangor-Perak border.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Selangor Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) operations officer Lieutenant Nur Affiq Nor Hisham stated that the search and rescue (SAR) operation entered its fifth day today, involving several security agencies. The operation, which began at 7 am, involves sea and air searches using three assets - Maritime Vessel (KM) Nusa, CL415MP aircraft, and Royal Malaysia Police Marine Police Force (PPM) RH33 patrol boat.

The focus of the sea search is on the Selangor-Perak border waters, especially Hutan Melintang, where two bodies were found earlier. The CL415MP aircraft, involving five MMEA officers and personnel, is also conducting searches within the 105-square-nautical-mile area, as stated by Lieutenant Nur Affiq at the Search and Rescue Forward Base at Sementa Jetty today.

A check by Bernama noted that the base was crowded with family members of the missing angler awaiting updates on the operation. Lieutenant Nur Affiq mentioned that the remaining missing angler had yet to be found as of noon today. The SAR operation involves 35 officers and personnel and is being conducted with the cooperation of the police, Fire and Rescue Department, and Malaysian Civil Defence Force. It is expected to be suspended at 7 pm today.

Earlier, police confirmed the discovery of the second body, believed to be that of angler Muhammad Ridzuan Ruhaizat, 37, in Hutan Melintang waters at 4.26 pm yesterday. Klang Utara police chief ACP Ramsay Embol said six of the seven missing anglers had now been accounted for, with four found safe and two confirmed dead. The other deceased victim was Mohd Shahril Abd Rahman, 43, whose body was found in the same waters at 8.30 am last Wednesday. The remaining missing angler is Raja Mohd Rozi Raja Mahamud, 49.
