Kuala lumpur: Experienced striker Intan Sarah Anisah Zulgafli is among the 23 women footballers who spearhead Malaysia’s challenge in the women’s football event at the 2025 South East Asian (SEA) Games in Thailand this month.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) announced the women’s football squad in a statement today, which includes players such as Steffi Sarge Kaur and goalkeeper Nurul Azurin Mazlan, who played for Misaka United FC in India.
Malaysia has been drawn into Group B with Vietnam, Myanmar, and the Philippines and is set to play Vietnam in the opening match on Friday, followed by Myanmar on December 8 and finally the Philippines on December 11 in Chonburi.
Only the group champions and runners-up will advance to the semi-finals.
The following is the final list of 23 players for the national women’s football team for the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand, scheduled from December 9 to 20.
