Kota kinabalu: The Scouts Association of Malaysia (PPM) is committed to shaping young people into individuals who are honest, trustworthy, principled, and of good character. Deputy National Chief Commissioner of Scouts Ahmad Sabri Saad emphasized that in scouting, integrity is not an option but an obligation.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ahmad Sabri Saad stated that integrity is crucial as the core of organizational leadership. He emphasized that scout leaders must first demonstrate these values in their actions, decisions, and work culture. True leadership, he mentioned, must be shown through example, and scout leaders need to be living examples of the discipline and integrity they seek to instil in young members. His remarks were made in a statement in conjunction with the Sabah PPM Excellence Appreciation Ceremony held today.
He further noted that the Sabah chapter, with its capable line-up of leaders, is well-positioned to produce more scouts who can go on to become community leaders in the future. Sabah PPM holds an important place in the national scouting landscape, given its strong grassroots spirit and solid community involvement.
The Excellence Appreciation Ceremony underscored integrity and leadership by example as key messages in strengthening the scouting movement within the state. Currently, the Sabah chapter boasts 18,947 members.
