Scientex’s First Quarter Net Profit Surges by 11.1% to RM142.91 Million

Kuala lumpur: Scientex Bhd reported an 11.1 percent increase in net profit for the first quarter ending October 31, 2025, reaching RM142.91 million compared to RM128.61 million in the same period last year. This growth was attributed to higher revenue in both its packaging and property segments.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the company's revenue rose by 4.1 percent to RM1.16 billion from RM1.11 billion a year ago. In its Bursa Malaysia filing, Scientex highlighted that its packaging revenue hit RM628.5 million, with operating profit climbing to RM46.3 million. The company attributed the improved operating profit to a favorable sales mix alongside ongoing cost-saving measures and initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.

In the property segment, revenue was reported at RM526.6 million, driven by strong sales and consistent construction progress on ongoing projects. During the quarter, Scientex successfully launched its first project in Jawi, Penang, and debuted its initial high-rise project at its Seremban township in Negeri Sembilan, both of which received positive market feedback.

The company noted that more new projects were launched across the Northern, Central, and Southern regions compared to the previous year, contributing to the division's robust performance. This led to an increase in operating profit to RM158.0 million, up from RM145.9 million in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Looking ahead, Scientex expressed its commitment to enhancing competitiveness and exploring new market opportunities in the current financial year.
