Saudi Arabia Contributes 30 Tonnes Of Dates, 25,000 Copies Of Quran To Malaysia

Kuala lumpur: Saudi Arabia has contributed about 30 tonnes of dates and 25,000 copies of the Quran to Malaysia in conjunction with Ramadan 1447H, continuing its annual assistance to the country. Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Dr. Zulkifli Hasan stated that the donation is a reflection of the strong and harmonious ties between Malaysia and Saudi Arabia.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Dr. Zulkifli emphasized the significance of the relationship, expressing gratitude for the Saudi government's consistent generosity. He highlighted that every year, Saudi Arabia generously presents dates to Malaysia, and this year they have also included copies of the Quran in their donations. He stressed the importance of maintaining this close and strong bond between the two nations.

During the handover ceremony, Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Malaysia, Osama Dakhil Al-Ahmadi, and King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSRelief) representative, Raid Mohamad, were also present. Dr. Zulkifli noted that the dates, including the Syukari variety, were produced in Saudi Arabia and are among the finest. He stated that the contribution would be distributed throughout the fasting month to mosques, surau, and religious institutions nationwide.

Furthermore, Dr. Zulkifli mentioned that the Saudi government would also sponsor iftar programs for Malaysians during Ramadan, emphasizing the continued support and collaboration between the two countries.
