Kuala Lumpur: Sapura Energy Bhd has announced the resignation of Datuk Shahriman Shamsuddin as a director of the company effective today. The integrated oil and gas services company made the announcement in a Bursa Malaysia filing, stating that Shahriman has stepped down due to other commitments.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Shahriman, aged 56, has not cited any disagreement with the board of directors as a reason for his resignation. Sapura Energy further clarified that there are no matters needing to be brought to the attention of shareholders.
Previously, on October 29, 2024, Shahriman had also tendered his resignation as managing director of Sapura Resources Bhd, indicating his departure from his roles within the company group.
