Kuala Lumpur: The Education Ministry (MOE) is committed to ensuring that all projects in Kampung Kuak Hulu here are completed within the stipulated timeframe, said Minister Fadhlina Sidek. She said the ministry remains attentive to the progress of these projects, which would bring significant benefits to the local community.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the futsal court being upgraded serves as a recreational space for youths, while the school had some safety issues that need to be addressed urgently. Minister Fadhlina highlighted that all relevant agencies have shown strong commitment, and the ministry will continue monitoring follow-up actions related to these facilities. She shared these details with reporters at the Education Minister Santuni MADANI Programme at Masjid Al-Bakri, Kampung Kuak Hulu.
On September 26 last year, Fadhlina announced that Kampung Kuak Hulu had been selected for the Santuni MADANI Programme after a thorough evaluation by the MOE. The initiative allows her to personally oversee development efforts carried out by relevant agencies in the village. The MOE holds monthly meetings to ensure all upgrade works proceed as scheduled, and officers have worked hard to resolve most issues raised in the September meeting.
Yesterday’s programme marked the continuation of the inaugural Education Minister Santuni MADANI Programme, which was first held in September last year. During the visit, Fadhlina toured the Pengkalan Hulu Ramadan bazaar to engage with the local community before attending the MADANI Iftar with villagers at Masjid Al-Bakri. She also presented contributions to underprivileged groups and persons with disabilities in the village.
The Perak State Development Office (Perak ICU) presented mock cheques for the upgrading of the Kampung Kuak Hulu futsal court (RM200,000) and Padang Chong football field (RM100,000). Additionally, RM50,000 has been allocated to upgrade toilets, ablution facilities, and other related work at Masjid Al-Bakri. After the programme, Fadhlina joined the Tarawih prayers at the Islamic Centre, Gerik Vocational College.
The Santun MADANI: Satu Pemimpin, Satu Kampung programme is an initiative by the MADANI Government designed to enhance the village’s potential and the community’s capacity through direct monitoring and engagement, aimed at identifying socioeconomic issues and the needs of local residents.
