Jinjiang: The Jinjiang Culture and Tourism Group · 2026 "Samaranch Cup" Asian Basketball Masters Invitational Tournament concluded in Jinjiang City, Fujian Province, after six days of intense competition.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the tournament was co-hosted by the Samaranch Foundation and the Jinjiang Municipal People's Government. It was supported by a series of complementary activities aimed at promoting the integration of sports, culture, and tourism. The activities included an Asian Youth Basketball Salon, a cultural visit to Jinjiang's Wulin area for international athletes, a "Basketball Little Talents" outreach programme, and a cultural and tourism consumption fair.

The tournament marked the Samaranch Foundation's first comprehensive Asian basketball tournament held in China. It aimed to promote basketball development across Asia, advance public fitness initiatives, promote the Olympic spirit, and facilitate international cultural exchanges.
