Sabah State Assembly Extends Condolences To Tun Abdullah’s Family

Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah State Legislative Assembly today conveyed its condolences to the family of Malaysia’s fifth Prime Minister, Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, who died yesterday evening.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Speaker Datuk Seri Kadzim M Yahya expressed that the entire state assembly was saddened by the passing of a statesman who had rendered service to the nation. During the state assembly sitting, he urged members to pray for the late Tun Abdullah, wishing blessings for his soul and remembering his contributions.

Tun Abdullah, aged 85, passed away at the National Heart Institute in Kuala Lumpur at 7.10 pm yesterday. Born on November 26, 1939, in Bayan Lepas, Penang, Abdullah led the country from October 31, 2003, until April 3, 2009.
