Sabah Polls: Hajiji Satisfied With Smooth, Organised Voting Process

Kota kinabalu: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, who is also the chairman of Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), expressed satisfaction with the smooth conduct of the 17th Sabah state election.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Hajiji, who is contesting for the Sulaman seat under GRS, acknowledged the high number of candidates in this election but appreciated the maintained harmony. He remains optimistic about voter turnout across all 73 state constituencies.

“In Tuaran, the weather conditions look good. According to the weather forecast, there may be rain in the afternoon. We hope that registered voters in Sabah will come out to vote early to fulfill their responsibility,” he commented at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Serusup polling station.

Hajiji cast his vote earlier today at 11.42 am, accompanied by his wife, Datin Seri Juliah Salag. He is facing competition in a five-cornered contest against Barisan Nasional’s young candidate Dr Shahnon Rizal, Mokhtar Hussin from Parti Warisan, Tiaminah Siti Aminah Ele from Perikatan Nasional, and Pajudin Nordin from Parti Impian Sabah.

In the previous 16th Sabah state election, Hajiji secured the Sulaman state seat with a majority of 3,099 votes, maintaining his hold on the constituency for over three decades.
