Sabah PH Meeting Focuses On State Election

Sabah: The Sabah Pakatan Harapan (PH) meeting held here today focused on comprehensive preparations for the Sabah state election which is expected to be held soon. PH secretary-general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, who chaired the meeting, said the discussion emphasised the coordination of the election machinery as well as understanding between the state and central leadership in formulating the best strategy ahead of the Sabah state election.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, “Whatever decisions finalised, whether in terms of strategy, candidates or manifesto, our focus and direction remain clear and firm, namely the interests of the people of Sabah must remain the priority,” said the Home Minister in a post on his Facebook today. Also present at the meeting were Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) communications director Khalid Abdul Samad, Sabah PH chairman Datuk Ewon Benedick who is also the president of the United Kinabalu Progressive Organisation (UPKO), Sabah PKR State Leadership Council chairman Dat
uk Mustapha Sakmud, Sabah DAP chairman Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe, and Sabah Amanah chairman Datuk Lahirul Latigu.

The Sabah State Legislative Assembly (DUN) will automatically be dissolved on November 11, thus paving the way for the 17th Sabah state election.
