Sabah Governor’s Official Birthday Celebration Set for March 30

Kota Kinabalu: The official birthday of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sabah will be celebrated on March 30, as announced in the Sabah Government Gazette. Deputy Chief Minister II Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam confirmed the date of the celebration.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Dr Joachim, who leads the Main Committee for the Official Birthday Celebration of the Sabah Governor, revealed that the festivities would begin this Sunday, March 30. The celebration will comprise seven official events, which are scheduled to continue until June 21.

Dr Joachim highlighted that this marks the first official birthday celebration since Tun Musa Aman was appointed as the 11th Sabah Yang di-Pertua Negeri on January 1. The official events will include religious activities such as a Tahlil Recitation, Doa Selamat, and Solat Hajat, alongside a Ceremonial Parade, a Prize Presentation Ceremony for the Parade Competition, a State Banquet, and Sabah Ethnic Day.

Furthermore, the celebrations will feature the Investiture Ceremony for State Honours, Titles, and Medals. A Tea Reception with Special Needs Children and Orphans is also planned as part of the festive events.
