Kota kinabalu: The number of flood evacuees in Sabah has decreased to 75 individuals from 23 families as of 8 p.m. today, a significant drop from the earlier report of 300 evacuees from 93 families.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Sabah Disaster Management Committee secretariat revealed that while 30 villages in the Paitan district remain impacted, only two temporary relief centres are currently operational. These centres are the Batagon Darat Community Centre and the Surau Nur Hikmah in Kampung Kaindangan, providing shelter and support to those affected.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department has issued a forecast predicting thunderstorms in several inland areas of Sabah tonight, prompting ongoing caution and preparedness efforts in the region.
