Kuala lumpur: The results of the recent Sabah State Election (PRN) indicate that the people of Sabah tend to favor local parties that maintain a friendly relationship with the Federal Unity Government. Pakatan Harapan (PH) Secretary-General Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail emphasized that the election outcome reflects the desire of Sabahans for a state government capable of collaborating closely with the Federal Government.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail noted that the analysis of the Sabah PRN results was conducted meticulously, examining not only polling districts but also individual polling channels. He highlighted the strong sentiment among Sabahans for prioritizing local parties, encapsulated in the phrase ‘Sabah for Sabahan.’ This sentiment has significantly benefitted two parties, Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) and Parti Warisan.

Saifuddin Nasution pointed out that while GRS and Warisan both enjoyed substantial support in the state election, GRS emerged with a victory that surpassed Warisan. He stated that this success represents a win for the Unity Government, underscoring the importance of unity despite Pakatan Harapan not securing many seats.

Furthermore, Saifuddin Nasution mentioned that a meeting will be convened at the Unity Government level in the near future to discuss the detailed outcomes of the Sabah State Election.
