Sabah: Sabah Barisan Nasional (BN) today launched the Sabah BN AI Chatbot, a new technological initiative designed to introduce BN candidates for the upcoming 17th Sabah state election (PRN).
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the launch, officiated by BN chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, marks a strategic step by the coalition to engage with young voters and modernise its communication approach in the digital era. Ahmad Zahid stated that the introduction of the Sabah BN AI Chatbot reflects BN’s commitment to adapt to changing times and the aspirations of the younger generation. He emphasized that BN is not merely a party with a long history but one that continues to move in tandem with technological progress and the aspirations of the people.
The statement from Sabah BN highlights that the AI Chatbot serves as an interactive platform enabling the public, particularly youths and first-time voters, to learn more about BN candidates, their backgrounds, campaign activities, and the coalition’s policies throughout Sabah. In addition to introducing candidates, this initiative also aims to curb the spread of fake news that is increasingly rampant on social media ahead of the election. The chatbot will deliver verified and official information directly to the public, ensuring that all received information is accurate and factual.
The AI Chatbot platform can be accessed through two main channels, www.prnsabah.com and BNComm Sabah, and will be fully operational from Nov 12, coinciding with the main campaign phase for the 17th Sabah state election. Earlier, Ahmad Zahid, who is also UMNO president, chaired the UMNO Supreme Council meeting at the Sabah UMNO headquarters here, followed by the BN Supreme Council meeting. Tomorrow, Ahmad Zahid is scheduled to attend the BN candidates announcement ceremony for the 17th Sabah state election by Sabah UMNO liaison chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin before launching the BN election machinery.
