Rumah Bangsa Initiative Attracts Significant Youth Participation: Ahmad Maslan

Kuala lumpur: About 60 per cent or 6,009 out of more than 10,000 applications to join UMNO as new members under the Rumah Bangsa initiative are youth, UMNO Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Maslan said. The Rumah Bangsa Unity Committee member stated that these applications also included those from the Wanita and Puteri wings.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ahmad Maslan highlighted that of the 10,000 applications received, a significant portion comprised individuals aged 40 and below. He emphasized that this trend demonstrates UMNO's continuing appeal to younger demographics. During a media conference following a site visit, he noted the party's openness to reintegrating members it previously dismissed as a strategy to attract new membership.

Rumah Bangsa is an initiative introduced by UMNO's president, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, aimed at uniting Malays and encouraging former members to rejoin the party. This effort underscores UMNO's commitment to fostering unity and inclusivity within its ranks.
