Perlis: The Rukun Negara pledge was recited at the Perlis State Legislative Assembly for the first time today. It was led by assistant secretary of the State Assembly and State Executive Council (MMK), Mohd Anwar Sahul Hameed.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Speaker Rus’sele Eizan stated that the state received a letter from National Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang on September 12 last year regarding the Cabinet’s decision to introduce the recitation of the pledge during the official opening of state assembly sittings. The initiative aims to ensure the Rukun Negara continues to be appreciated and embedded in daily life.

The pledge recitation was previously carried out at the Dewan Rakyat for the first time on February 27 last year.
