Kuala Lumpur: PKR Wanita vice-chief Datin Rufinah Pengeran has been appointed the party’s new Sabah Women’s chief, while Kalabakan division Wanita chief Noraini Abd Ghapur has been named as her deputy. PKR Wanita chief Fadhlina Sidek announced these appointments during a recent meeting she chaired.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the appointments were made to ensure the smooth operation of Sabah PKR Wanita’s activities in preparation for the upcoming state election. Fadhlina expressed confidence in the strong commitment shown by the Sabah women’s wing. She emphasized that Rufinah’s leadership and experience are expected to guide the wing’s preparations effectively.
Fadhlina also mentioned that Sabah PKR’s women’s wing had formed an election committee in January. The committee is actively working to strengthen preparations at all levels to ensure the women’s machinery is ready to participate in the election in an organized and strategic manner. She urged all PKR Wanita members in the state to remain united
and work towards achieving victory in the elections.
The current term of the Sabah state legislative assembly is set to expire on November 11.
