KUALA LUMPUR: The local rubber market will temporarily cease operations for two days from December 31, 2024, to January 1, 2025, as part of the New Year celebrations, impacting trade and supply activities.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Malaysian Rubber Board (MRB) stated that the market closure aligns with the New Year festivities. In its announcement, MRB confirmed that regular operations would resume on Thursday, January 2, 2025, ensuring minimal disruption to stakeholders and participants in the rubber industry.
The closure reflects a customary pause in trading activities during significant holidays, allowing participants in the rubber market to observe the celebrations. The scheduled reopening on January 2 will enable the market to continue its usual operations without extended interruption.
