The Malaysian Higher Education Blueprint (RPTM) 2026-2035 sets out a strategic roadmap to cultivate future-proof and boost social innovation, said Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Kelantan branch rector Prof Dr Mohd Afandi Mat Rani. He emphasized that university students embody these ambitions, representing national aspirations and demonstrating both academic excellence and adaptability to future technological and socio-economic shifts.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, UiTM, through its various clubs, associations, and volunteer platforms, provides a practical training ground for students to hone their soft skills, cultivate emotional maturity, and shape their identity as competent community leaders. Prof Dr Mohd Afandi Mat Rani made these remarks during his speech at the UiTM Kelantan Branch 2025 Student Awards Ceremony, which was officiated by Yayasan Prihatin Nasional chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Aizuddin Ghazali.
The RPTM 2026-203 5, launched by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on January 20, sets out a new direction for the country's higher education based on human values, well-being, and sustainability to produce knowledgeable, ethical, and globally competitive individuals. At the ceremony, seventh-semester Bachelor of Accounting student Adam Mansor was named the 2025 Tokoh Siswa for the UiTM Kelantan branch, recognizing his outstanding achievements and leadership potential.
Adam, 26, expressed hope that his success in being crowned Tokoh Siswa for the second consecutive year would serve as motivation for fellow students to contribute meaningfully to the community, the local economy, and the nation. He acknowledged his mother, Zuraini Othman, 55, and his sister, Sabariah Mansor, 28, as his biggest supporters, providing him with the encouragement needed to continue studying hard.
