Kuala lumpur: The Registrar of Societies Malaysia (RoS) has confirmed receiving an official complaint from Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) regarding claims of exclusion from the Perikatan Nasional (PN) Supreme Council meeting held on July 16, as well as issues concerning its membership within the coalition. According to BERNAMA News Agency, RoS announced in a statement that it is currently examining the complaint in accordance with the Societies Act 1966 [Act 832], the Societies Regulations 1984, the organisation's approved constitution, and the department's official records. RoS emphasized the importance of a thorough review, stating that all information, documents, and explanations submitted by the involved parties will be scrutinized. The statement further elaborated that the issues highlighted will be addressed based on the existing legal framework. RoS reiterated its commitment to performing its duties professionally and impartially, without any bias towards any organisation or political party . RoS also reminded all registered organisations of their obligation to adhere to the Societies Act 1966, relevant regulations, and their respective constitutions. This follows earlier reports indicating that Bersatu intended to file a report with RoS over claims suggesting its membership in PN could be automatically terminated due to its plans to establish a new political coalition.
