RON97, Diesel Prices Down Three Sen In Peninsular Malaysia

Kuala lumpur: The retail prices of RON97 petrol and diesel in Peninsular Malaysia have been reduced by three sen, now set at RM3.18 and RM2.85 per litre respectively, for July 3 to 9.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) stated that the retail price of RON95 remains unchanged at RM2.05 per litre, while the price of diesel in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan remains at RM2.15 per litre.

MOF explained that the price adjustments are based on the weekly retail pricing of petroleum products, using the Automatic Pricing Mechanism formula.

The statement from MOF highlighted that the government continues to monitor market trends and adjust the retail prices of RON97 and diesel in line with global oil price movements, while supporting price stability.

MOF also mentioned that the government will take appropriate measures to safeguard the welfare and well-being of the people.
