According to BERNAMA News Agency, Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Operations Division Assistant Director Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said the victim, identified as M. Sivakumar, 53, was found trapped inside the lorry when personnel from the Simpang Pulai and Gopeng Fire and Rescue Stations arrived at the scene.

'The operation chief conducted a size-up before directing personnel to carry out the rescue operation using hydraulic equipment until the trapped victim was successfully extricated,' he said in a statement.

The victim was pronounced dead by medical personnel at the scene before his body was handed over to the police for further action.
