Kuala lumpur: The strong Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth of 5.2 per cent in the third quarter of 2025 proves that the country’s economy is on the right track, said Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil. Fahmi, who is also the MADANI Government spokesperson, highlighted that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced during the Cabinet meeting today that the construction and services sectors recorded the highest GDP growth, with almost 12 per cent and nine per cent growth respectively.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, this GDP growth has surpassed the previous ‘best case projection’ of 4.8 per cent. Although the figure was announced earlier, it was only an estimate, and today it has been confirmed. Fahmi stated, “It also proves our country’s economy is in a good position, on the right track and continues to record quite good growth,” during a weekly press conference.

Earlier, Bank Negara Malaysia announced that the Malaysian economy grew by 5.2 per cent in the third quarter of 2025 compared to 4.4 per cent in the second quarter of 2025, driven by higher domestic demand and export growth.
