Kuala lumpur: Major roads around Merdeka Stadium here will be closed and diverted in stages from 2 pm this Saturday in conjunction with the 2025 Sultan of Selangor Cup football match between Selangor and Singapore. Kuala Lumpur Police deputy chief Datuk Mohamed Usuf Jan Mohamad announced the road closures, which will affect Jalan Maharajalela (Merdeka Roundabout), Jalan Hang Tuah (entry to Jalan Hang Jebat), Jalan Hang Jebat, Jalan Stadium, and Jalan Merdeka.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, a total of 115 officers and personnel from the Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) will be deployed to ensure smooth traffic flow and the safety of supporters attending the event. The authorities have advised road users to plan their journeys and comply with police instructions at the locations. Additionally, the public is encouraged to use public transport to avoid congestion around the stadium during the event.
