RMSIR 2025: Tengku Amir Completes Penang Island Inshore Race

Penang: The Raja Muda of Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, successfully completed the inshore race around Penang Island at the 35th Raja Muda Selangor International Regatta (RMSIR) here today. Tengku Amir, along with the crew of the yacht Maduzi, began the race around 12 noon before arriving at the finish line around 5 pm.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Tengku Amir safely arrived in Penang after completing the second race of RMSIR 2025 from Pangkor Island yesterday. The RMSIR, which runs for nine days from November 14 to 22, is participated by 23 teams and will continue the race to Langkawi tomorrow.

The RMSIR, which was first organised in 1990, is the second oldest yachting championship in Asia and was the brainchild of the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, during his time as the Raja Muda of Selangor.
