RMSIR 2025: Tengku Amir And Consort Join Race To Pulau Langkawi

Pulau langkawi: The Raja Muda of Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, today continued the race from Penang to Pulau Langkawi in the 35th Raja Muda Selangor International Regatta (RMSIR). Tengku Amir, together with the crew of the yacht Maduzi, began the race at about 12.30 pm, along with his consort, Datin Paduka Seri Afzaa Fadini Abdul Aziz.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Tengku Amir had already completed several legs of the RMSIR races, including the journey from Port Klang to Pulau Pangkor, the subsequent leg from Pulau Pangkor to Penang, and the inshore race around Penang Island. The RMSIR, which spans nine days from November 14 to 22, features participation from 23 teams and is set to continue its course towards Langkawi today.

The RMSIR, established in 1990, holds the distinction of being the second-oldest yachting championship in Asia. It was conceived by the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, during his tenure as the Raja Muda of Selangor.
