Penang: Hollywood Samurai of Hong Kong sailed into a class of its own when the team won two titles at the Raja Muda Selangor International Regatta (RMSIR) 2025 here today. The victorious cruise led by skipper Raymond Roberts with 10 crew members won the second stage of RMSIR from Pulau Pangkor to Penang in 10 hours 49 minutes and 23 seconds and also finished second in the inshore race today in Class 1 category.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Hollywood Samurai is now in first position with seven points followed by The Next Factor in second place with nine points, and Windsikher in third place with twelve points. “We had a good win after race two and we were really happy about that. But today we get second place overall and it disturbs our momentum a little bit. Although we did not have such great results today, we’re still leading the regatta,” said Sam Hunt the pitman of Hollywood Samurai when met today.
RMSIR, which runs for nine days from Nov 14 to 22, is participated by 23 teams and will continue the race to Langkawi tomorrow. The regatta, which was first organised in 1990, is the second oldest yachting championship in Asia and was the brainchild of the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, during his time as the Raja Muda of Selangor.
