Negeri sembilan: The Pakatan Harapan (PH) government has announced a significant investment to enhance the healthcare infrastructure in Negeri Sembilan through 24 development and upgrading projects. The government has allocated RM328 million for these initiatives, with an additional RM26.6 million under the Bitara MADANI initiative to refurbish 88 dilapidated clinics and healthcare facilities across the state.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Amanah vice-president Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad emphasized the government's commitment to ensuring that the benefits of economic progress are directed towards the people by upgrading healthcare facilities in Negeri Sembilan. He highlighted this initiative as evidence of a transparent administration that genuinely prioritizes public welfare.
Dr Dzulkefly, who also serves as the Health Minister, credited the successful implementation of these initiatives to the prudent economic and financial management under the leadership of Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun. He noted a substantial 6.6-fold increase in investments in the state, reaching RM19 billion under the PH administration, which reflects strong economic performance.
The Minister further mentioned that the state's financial governance has led to a revenue surplus of RM203 million, significantly higher than the previous administration. This efficient financial management has strengthened the state's fiscal position, contributing to a notable increase in revenue.
As the state approaches its 16th election, a total of 859,760 registered voters, including 7,391 postal voters, are set to elect representatives for the 36 state constituencies. Pakatan Harapan is contesting all 36 seats, with other parties such as Barisan Nasional, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia, Perikatan Nasional, and several independent candidates also vying for representation. Additionally, parties like Barisan Jamaah Islamiah Se-Malaysia (Berjasa), Parti Orang Asli Malaysia (ASLI), and Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) will each contest one seat.
