RHB Invests RM1.5 Mln Through #JomBiz To Empower 1,000 MSMEs And Strengthen Growth

Kuala lumpur: RHB Bank group managing director and group chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Rashid Mohamad announced an investment of RM1.5 million through the #JomBiz programme to empower micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and bolster their growth. The programme is aimed at equipping microentrepreneurs with essential knowledge, financial tools, and market-relevant capabilities to support sustainable business development.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, since its launch in 2022, the programme has implemented seven cohorts, empowering 1,073 microentrepreneurs. Among these, 137 received funding, achieving a completion rate of 84 percent. The initiative is part of RHB's PROGRESS27 strategy, which aims to empower 2.5 million individuals and businesses across ASEAN by 2027. By the end of 2025, RHB had already supported nearly 1.5 million individuals from over 30,000 MSMEs through various programmes and initiatives.

Mohd Rashid highlighted that the programme will continue to prioritise the B40 and asnaf communities, single parents, and persons with disabilities. This focus reinforces RHB's commitment to inclusive economic participation and aligns with its broader aspiration to empower 2.5 million individuals and businesses across ASEAN by 2027.
