Selangor: Sendayan Air Base Fifty members of the Armed Forces Family Welfare Association (Bakat) at Sendayan Air Base (PUS) are gaining new creative skills through a Resin Art Course aimed at opening up potential income opportunities.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the course was introduced by the Armed Forces Fund Board Foundation (Yayasan LTAT) under the Military Family Skills Programme (K²T) and was held at PUS yesterday. This initiative marks the first time Bakat members have participated in such a program, which focuses on developing skills that could potentially generate income.

The 50 Bakat members received both theoretical and practical training in resin art. The training covered material preparation techniques, pattern creation, resin layering, and hands-on product-making methods. The Resin Art Course is one of the specialised courses introduced under the K²T programme, with a focus on creative skills that have aesthetic value and commercial potential.

Yayasan LTAT highlighted that the exposure provided to participants offers opportunities to develop their abilities by producing creative products that could be transformed into entrepreneurial activities and sources of income. The course, attended by Yayasan LTAT chief executive Datuk Dr Mohd Nizar Sudin, was strengthened through strategic collaboration with the Department of Polytechnic and Community College Education (JPPKK) and Jempol Community College as the training provider.

Yayasan LTAT expressed its commitment to enhancing the implementation of the K²T programme by expanding access to value-added skills courses that are relevant to current needs. This initiative aligns with Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin's mandate to improve the welfare and development of Armed Forces families through initiatives that provide continuous benefits and impact.
