RELA Celebrates 53 Years as a Pillar of Malaysian Resilience

Kuala lumpur: The People’s Volunteer Corps (RELA) represents more than just a volunteer organization; it is a testament to the resilience of the Malaysian people during times of crisis, as emphasized by Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, in a recent Facebook post, Saifuddin Nasution highlighted the critical role of RELA, showcasing its readiness to act under various circumstances, including during peacetime, disasters, border control needs, and major gatherings.

Saifuddin Nasution shared his personal experiences, stating that he has observed the operations of RELA beyond just surface-level engagement, noting its integral role in the lives of Malaysians. He expressed his hopes for the corps to progress with greater strength, organization, training, and continued respect, underscoring its status as a source of national pride.

Furthermore, Saifuddin Nasution remarked on RELA’s evolution over the past 53 years, noting its enduring relevance and growing trust among the nation as a steadfast and loyal front-line force.
