Sepang:Rapid KL has improved the coordination of its shuttle bus services to the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) following passenger feedback regarding travel to the venue.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the public transport operator stated that the shuttle services were initially implemented as planned, in line with operational arrangements agreed upon with the event organizer. However, after receiving feedback, Rapid KL, in collaboration with SIC and relevant agencies, made enhancements to the passenger pick-up and drop-off arrangements.

These improvements, effective from today, aim to ensure smoother and more orderly passenger movement. As of 11 am, traffic flow and passenger movement were reported to be smooth and under control.

Rapid KL will continue monitoring the situation with SIC and related agencies to ensure a seamless experience for everyone attending the Formula 1 (F1) Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix (GP). The shuttle bus operations include the management and movement of buses and passengers, with overall traffic coordination and vehicle flow management handled in cooperation with the event organizer.

The public transport operator has assured its continued collaboration with all parties to maintain smooth operational coordination and passenger movement throughout the event. Rapid KL also expressed appreciation for the patience, cooperation, and feedback from passengers, which helps improve the travel experience.

The Sepang International Circuit is hosting the three-day 2026 F1 Gulf Air Bahrain GP, making it a temporary venue for the prestigious race. In July, Formula 1 confirmed Malaysia as the host of the race from October 2 to 4, following an agreement involving F1, the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), and the governments of Malaysia and Bahrain.
