Kuala lumpur: The Youth and Sports Ministry (KBS), through Esports Integrated (ESI) with support from the Rakan Muda initiative, is calling on women nationwide to participate in the Rakan Muda Women’s Esports Championship 2025 (RMWEC25) next month.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the championship aims to break the stigma that esports is male-dominated while boosting confidence and highlighting the crucial role women play in the country’s digital ecosystem. The tournament, offering a total prize pool of RM50,000, is open to all Malaysian women regardless of age or prior esports experience.
Participants will compete in four popular game titles: Honor of Kings, Valorant, FC26, and Gran Turismo 7. Online qualifying rounds will take place on Dec 8, while the grand finals will be held physically from Dec 19 to 21 at the ESI Hub, Spacerubix, Puchong.
