Kangar: The Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, today urged the people of Perlis to embrace a healthy lifestyle, emphasizing the importance of avoiding smoking and illegal substances while enhancing their health awareness. He highlighted that health is an invaluable asset that requires conscientious care to ensure lifelong well-being.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra expressed his desire for individuals, families, and communities in Perlis to be mindful of their health and that of their loved ones. His comments were made during the official opening of the Health for All Carnival at Dewan 2020.
The event, attended by the Raja Puan Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Dr Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil, Menteri Besar of Perlis, Mohd Shukri Ramli, and the Minister of Health, Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad, is part of the Silver Jubilee celebration of the reign of the Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail.
Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra emphasized the importance of regular health checks, adherence to professional health advice, and compliance with recommended treatments to maintain optimal health. He noted the need for a structured intervention program, in collaboration with various agencies, to guide the state towards ‘Perlis Sihat Sejahtera’ (Healthy and Prosperous Perlis).
He also expressed hope that the Perlis Go-Digital initiative would enhance government services in the state, particularly in the health sector, by enabling quick access to individual medical records through an integrated application for more efficient healthcare planning.
Moreover, His Highness suggested developing interactive health advocacy materials to improve public access and strengthen health literacy, thereby encouraging positive behavioral changes among target groups.
