Rahmah Sales Proposed for Higher Education Institutions to Ease Student Expenses

Perak: The Chairman of the Perak Domestic Trade, Cooperatives, Consumer Affairs and New Chinese Villages Committee, Woo Kah Leong, has proposed the implementation of the Rahmah Sales programme across higher education institutions (IPT) in the country. This initiative aims to alleviate the financial burden faced by students.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Woo plans to discuss this proposal with the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister, Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali, during the upcoming National Consumer Movement Meeting. Woo emphasized the importance of utilizing the resources of the Perak State Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) to benefit various demographics, including young people, women, and the elderly.

Woo expressed his commitment to advocating for the implementation of the Rahmah Sale in both local and private campuses, highlighting the programme’s potential for reducing living costs. He stressed that this initiative would be a significant step towards supporting students across the nation.
