#QuranHour 2026 Promotes Independence, Unity And A Thriving Malaysia

Kuala lumpur: Yayasan Warisan Ummah Ikhlas (WUIF) founder Datuk Hussamuddin Yaacub announced that the upcoming #QuranHour 2026 event will be held at Masjid Al-Sultan Abdullah in Presint Merdeka 118, Kuala Lumpur. The programme aims to provide a platform for individuals, particularly Muslims, to deepen their understanding of the true meaning of independence through Quranic reflection and introspection.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the theme for this year's National Day programme, 'Bingkas Menuju Malaysia Sejahtera', underscores the importance of strong faith in comprehending national independence. The theme urges the translation of this understanding into tangible actions to cultivate a compassionate and prosperous society.

WUIF chief content officer Fazrul Ismail highlighted that Surah Al-Muzzammil and Surah Al-Balad were chosen for this year's campaign. The focus is on nurturing inner strength within individuals as a foundation for addressing societal challenges. Surah Al-Balad emphasizes the importance of guiding and assisting those who are struggling, laying the groundwork for harmony in an independent nation. Surah Al-Muzzammil, on the other hand, stresses the development of personal capacity through night worship, building resilience for societal service during the day.

Marhaini Yusoff, WUIF chief executive officer, called upon the media to foster unity by promoting positive narratives and compassion across communities during the National Day month. She reiterated that Surah Al-Balad encourages overcoming personal hardships and supporting others with patience and compassion. The media, she emphasized, should act as a catalyst for spreading positive narratives and translating the Quran's message within Malaysia's multiracial context.
