Kuala lumpur: The history preserved in the Quran should not be taken lightly, but serves as an important guide to improve humanity, draw lessons from past experiences and help the people face contemporary challenges, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. He said Ramadan is not just about fasting, Quran recitation and Terawih prayers, but also commemorates the monumental event of the revelation of the Quran, a miraculous occurrence with extraordinary transformative power.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Prime Minister highlighted that through the Quran, society was transformed from ignorance into the khayra ummah (the best people), similar to the Prophet's companions known as the Quranic generation. In a Facebook post in conjunction with Nuzul Quran today, he emphasized the Quran's role in not only fulfilling the objective of its revelation, which is to strengthen faith and uphold humanity, but also in charting a reform mission through the Prophets' historical struggles, offering guidance for the people.
The Prime Minister expressed his hope that the Quran will continue to guide the steps of the people, strengthen their faith, enrich their lives, and contribute to building a prosperous, civilised society.
