Hanoi:The upcoming 2026 Sepak Takraw League (STL) Premier League is set to feature intensified competition with quality players across all participating teams. The tournament, commencing on October 21, promises to be more challenging with the inclusion of international players from Thailand and the Philippines.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, National tekong Mohammad Syahir Mohd Rosdi, representing the Melaka Titans, emphasized the necessity for thorough and consistent preparation to tackle the challenges presented throughout the tournament. He highlighted that the presence of international imports would require teams to work diligently to earn points and remain vigilant against their opponents.
Speaking about Melaka Titans' readiness, Mohammad Syahir noted that the team is better prepared this season, having gained valuable experience after their promotion from Division One to the Premier League. This experience, he said, has allowed the team to undertake more comprehensive preparations, both on and off the court, with the goal of clinching the championship title.
He remarked that last season's preparations were somewhat constrained due to the swift transition from Division One, but the experience gained has positioned Melaka Titans to mount a strong challenge this year, aiming for the ultimate success in the league.
