Puspanita Channels Contributions To 200 Beneficiaries In Klang Valley

Klang: The Association of Wives and Women Members of the Malaysian Civil Service (Puspanita) today distributed contributions to 200 recipients from 11 care centres and institutions around the Klang Valley. Contributions for persons with disabilities, senior citizens, orphans, and asnaf were presented by Puspanita patron Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail during the Semarak Ramadan programme at Dewan Seri Endon, Puspanitapuri.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the event was the highlight of this year’s Semarak Ramadan programme, organised by Puspanita since March 7, in conjunction with the month of Ramadan and the observance of Nuzul Quran. Today’s programme began with a Quran recitation session involving 28 Puspanita branches from various ministries, led by 30 instructors from the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM), and attended by 300 Puspanita members.

The event continued with a talk titled ‘Ramadan: Satu dan Menyatukan’ delivered by Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) deputy vice-chancellor (Academic and International) Prof Datuk Dr Nik Salida Suhaila Nik Saleh. Also present were the Puspanita president Puan Sri Maheran Jamil and vice-president I Datuk Dr Yatimah Sarjiman.

Earlier, Dr Wan Azizah, who is also the Member of Parliament for Bandar Tun Razak, in her speech, emphasized that Puspanita’s Semarak Ramadan programme plays a role in embodying the spirit of Ramadan, a month that not only strengthens Muslims’ connection with Allah SWT but also instils the values of respect and empathy for others’ hardships. She reminded attendees about the importance of focusing on the hereafter while striving for worldly success and highlighted the significance of doing good to others and avoiding baseless accusations.
