Public Urged Not To Touch On 3R Issues On Social Media

Kuala Lumpur: The public has been reminded to avoid touching on sensitive issues related to religion, race, and royalty (3R) on social media, as they could disrupt national peace. Dewan Negara deputy president Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed emphasized the importance of being mindful of boundaries and sensitivities regarding 3R sentiments.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Nur Jazlan highlighted that 3R issues should not be taken lightly in Malaysia. He urged the public to refrain from dismissing or making jokes about matters that could affect racial sensitivities. He conveyed this message during a press conference following the launch of the 2025 Ihya Ramadan Outreach Programme, organized by the Parliament of Malaysia.

Nur Jazlan further explained that the government continuously focuses on unity, especially among the younger generation, through various awareness initiatives like the Youth Parliament programme. This programme aims to cultivate a mature understanding of democracy among youth, as well as the roles of the executive and Parliament in national governance. It involves all 222 parliamentary constituencies, providing participants with insights into parliamentary processes.

Earlier, he mentioned that the Ihya Ramadan Outreach Programme acts as a platform to engage with youth through Parliamentary Democracy and Nationalism Dialogue sessions.
